Make no mistake, if the Canes could move Brind'amour, they'd probobly trade him for Future Considerations. They could sign a player in the off-season for a fraction of his cost improve drastically.

Though his NTC is in the way, which will probobly mean players such as Jeff O'Neill will be moved in his stead.
in his stead doesnt make sense-oneill may go , but only cause he can bring the most back for a rebuild. ive said this before, wesley, hill, boughner, and francis all are ufa or retireing. thats over 10 million dollrs right there, and if they can find a way to move brindy (their highest paid player) its about 16 mill off. with that much off, they can still afford oneill-and be close to the budget. they have restricted free agents too-its hard to say what the payroll will be like next year. there is an arguement they will have to pay the players who replace these guys-but there will be room to keep oneill if they really want to. i think they WILL trade him if they get offered at least one player they can build around.
