Sather the GM lacks the ability to evaluate players AT THEIR CURRENT WORTH. If this were 10 years ago, getting Lindros, Kovalev, Jagr, etc would be a coup. Now, they are only names of yesterday's winners, not today's. Like all older persons, he is in love with yesterday. Whomever he traded for them would've been better off being used to obtain good prospects. He lost me almost immediately, when, in effect, he "traded" Schneider for Malakhov. What miserable judgment! He did not enhance his acumen swapping York for Poti, or not giving Zidlicky a chance, while wasting millions on drek like Oliwa & Ulanov.
