Agreed, and it's here I think this org must just step in and do a great job with Brassard. Like Chicago has done with Sharp, for example.

It shouldn't be impossible teach Brassard to become solid enough 2-way for it to always make sense to have him on the ice. When he reach that stage, the consistency issues offensively often works themselves out. Like with Sharp in Chicago.

The diffrence between the best and the rest today is puck possession no doubt. You need defense and a physical game too, but that is not what separates the top 6 from team 7-16. Not many teams would have a 3rd line center with more raw offensive ability than Brass if he became a 3rd line center. Could function on a 2nd line depending on linemates too.

He ain't quite there yet, but too good IMO just to dump.
