In general though, Queens is food heaven. Can't get much more authentic than a lot of the places here without traveling halfway around the world. I live in Astoria and I love it here - there's an absurd amount of delicious options for Italian, Greek, Mexican, Middle Eastern, Indian, I could go on. Also some of the best Asian food in the country a short subway ride away in Sunnyside or Flushing.

Now if we could only get a legit hockey bar in the area I'd be like
Ah fair enough. Yeah, you're right, not much in that regard.

I live in Astoria too, better off with Italian style delis - Sal, Kris & Charlie's Deli and Sorriso Italian.

Kinda spotty for hockey though. I like Dillingers on 30th past Steinway for games, mostly for the food. Ravenshead Pub on Broadway plays the sound, but the food sucks imo.
