should've started day 1. Sather knew he wanted to get rid of dead wood, and quite frankly, was off to a decent start in that regard. But as with everything else, he went about things half-arsed...like not wanting to have Kamensky and Lefebvre around, but somehow these guys were in the lineup for several games. And in an effort to not to spend much on UFAs, he acquires a guy like Karpa - so while $1.75 million doesn't sound like a lot for a defenseman, it was a lot for a guy who was the #8 defenseman (or #9) for Carolina.
Ah, why am I racking my brains wondering about Sather...the guy's past his prime, for sure.
