I like what Gernat is doing there, but a better comparison might be Marincin's rookie season last year. I think Marincin is a safer, less chaotic player, but Gernat has higher offensive upside.
Schultz also had Eberle/Hall/RNH on the PP helping him rack up points. I would like to see if Gernats style on the PP is different then Schultzs. Schultz like to pass alot, and uses his wrister from the top. While the sneaky wrister is good, it would be good to get a guy with a cannon. That can open alot of other options for other players when other teams have to respect the shot (like getting Yakupov open alot more)
