If The Rangers would acquire a real franchise nr 1 guy - it would be great to pair up Staal with him to be a mentor. Otherwise it may get a bit scary for such a diamond in the rough with the present defensive corps teaching him to play their "style" of hockey in the big league. I think he is potentially ready - if given the chance. But with Renney/Sather you never know...
