I think it's safe to say that the Senators have no intention of dealing either of Havlat or Spezza. I honestly do not see Muckler swinging for the bleachers at the deadline this year. A rental, sure... but he's going with his goalies and he's not trading any of the highly productive youth already on his roster. Vermette? Possible, but not Spezza or anyone with more tenure who produces points. The kind of players they will be dangling will be such that they are unlikely to be looking to add a core player like a Smyth.

While this is somewhat entertaining, the Senators are realistically not going to start blowing anything up, and that includes dealing Lalime. For better or for worse.
