Having the rest of the team being bad at aspects of the game doesn't make Lecavalier not also bad at those aspects. It's pretty obvious Lecavalier has little use outside of scoring.

As far as Schenn goes though, he's a young guy with not many career NHL games played and most of them with the Flyers not at his natural center position. Young players get better at face-offs as they mature and adapt to the league and that progress is stalled when said player is put at the wings a lot on and off. Lecavalier is a long-time and established player in this league in his mid-30's so he isn't nearly as likely to improve over time.
