This is really important.
As fans we are for the most part really focused in on a short span of games, or the stats we can easily lay our hands on. Neither of which tell the whole story of where a player is right now on his development curve. Admittedly we are not hockey professionals here, but many of us care about the game and this club a lot. As hard as it might be for US to watch the team's struggles this season, imagine what the players, team leaders, coaches and mgmt feel. Yes, they are responsible for it, but it cannot be unfolding how they mapped it out...
I think when they fall short of the post-season as they are most likely to, there have to be consequences, or the damages to the fanbase here in the business community and STHs will be awful to behold. They probably will be anyway.
