The Flames would do it in a heartbeat. A depth player and a 4th/5th is actually worth more to the Flames than an underproductive player with a $5M contract.

Dunham and Turek together could be an effective duo -- Sather could ride the hot goalie and alternate between the two, considering they both have #1 upside and consistency issues. If Dunham is off his game, right now the Rags don't have much to fall back on.

When Kiprusoff is back, and Turek is getting very little ice-time -- he may just be willing to waive his no-trade clause in the right situation.

In any event, the Flames would jump at freeing up $4.5M and get the team salary under budget with breathing room.
