Having seen most of Sabres games this season, there's NO WAY that team could realistically contend for Gold. Even not with Miller in goal.

I'm not sure they could beat Switzerland. I'm not even sure they could beat Latvia with the way they played early in the season. Thankfully, they've improved in the last couple of months.

Girgensons plays on Sabres' 2nd line. He'll probably play on the 2nd/3rd line in the Latvian national team.

Their bottom 6 is filled with players who would normally play in the AHL. There's really not that many NHL-caliber forwards there.

So I'd say they would be fighting for a QF spot most likely. Semi-finals if they get lucky. In other words, they'd be similar to Switzerland/Slovakia.
