I don't think if you are going to make a move you need to definitely get someone who is going to get better.

I'm looking for a rental in every sense of the word. Someone who will not cost a lot to get, is an upgrade to what we have and someone who is not under contract for next season.

If Boyes is obtainable for a reasonable price, I guess you have to consider him as well.
