Phil Esposito in 1973 - Orr misses some time and Esposito still makes a mockery of the scoring race. Maybe they were a little jaded of him by then

Bobby Orr in 1975 - A defenseman scoring 46 goals and winning the Art Ross on a 94 point team you would think would seal it. It didn't.

Marcel Dionne in 1980 - I still would have given it to Gretzky, but Dionne gets 137 points too, the highest of his career - and centers the best line in hockey

Mario Lemieux in 1989 - 'nuff said

Wayne Gretzky in 1991 - I would have voted for him
