I notice stuff like that too. The people that I see walking around: Kenny Albert, Don LaGreca, Ron Duguay, Rod Gilbert, Jon Giannone.
When the Devils come in their GM sits in the lower level and watches warmups and very few people, if any, say anything to him, even the "die-hard" Devil fans.
Very rarely the ex-players get recognized, but the media guys almost never.
I guess there's people who recognize them but dont want to bother them.
I would assume that a great percentage (90+?) have no clue what Benoit Allaire looks like.
