I'm totally fine with that. If you watch the Olympic games between good teams like Russis-USA today it's pretty clear the extra ice doesnt add much to the game. Teams collapse around the net, there's a little more room on the perimeter but less physical contact. Less hitting more transitions back and forth but no more actual scoring chances.
