Under Trotz system since day one the goal has been to score 1 more goal than you allow. He adjusts his lines accordingly, paying particular attention to match-ups. Like it or not he has been successful doing this. He knows this is not an offensive juggernaut And many times there is logic to his madness, on the surface it looks stupid to us. But putting players on the lower lines in an attempt to get them producing against weaker lines from the opponents is really nothing new. The issue the team is having rolling the lines allows for little chemistry on lines, its all about execution of the system.

It may well be time for a coaching change and a new system, however there is not one coach available that could do better with the roster the Preds currently have. Bringing in a offensive minded coach at this point would be a disaster IMO. This is the weakest set of forwards in the league as pointed out in another thread absent the defensive production this year the team would be at the bottom of the league. Scoring by committee has failed this year.
