Richard did NOT play anything like Pepe. He was goal-directed, not a disturber. He was a lot more physical than Mike Bossy, but mainly against forwards or Dmen who were in his way to the goal. Once he had the puck, no one could be more intense. Without the puck he seemed slightly distracted, but when the slightest offensive opportunity arose he turned into an orca pursuing a seal.
