As good as our D is puck support and players being in the right spots to support transition is critical. This quality D is going to make the right plays all day and it looked like a collection of Prongers back there but without the puck support and NZ battle the breakout doesn't happen.
The only thing I was unhappy with in Canada's play is the degree to which they tried to throw the puck in front of the net from behind the net. This just wasn't working and we turned the puck over easily a dozen times this way. Without that stupidity we were just dominating when we decided to just hold onto the puck. Against this tired US D we should've worked it in the US zone and just cycle and possess puck. On the shifts we did this the US were exhausted and bent over. A couple more long shifts in US zone and we would've had more goals. Canada did make adjustments in the 3rd and really limited giving the puck away.
