Looking over the Finland W more.

Like I said earlier during round robin is these elimination games will be decided on D, not offense, and the offense will have next to nothing to do with how far a club goes.

US became undisciplined today and unravelled soon as they got behind. Finns put on a clinic from there. Hard team to play against.

Just a latter comment and it means something but in Finland a Bronze is an accomplishment, something to be proud of. But it probably should be for any nation in an international picture that now has half a dozen clubs that could conceivably win it all.

Its a little odd, and I can see a TC being upset being in a bronze medal match and playing furtively because they legitimately expect to win the tourney each time out. But for the US do they really now expect to win and anything else is now a disappointment?

US hockey has come along way since 1980 but not all for the better imo. That 1980 team would've been proud to be in a bronze medal match and represent to best of abilities. The many US pro players, and players that were inspired by that team could have some soul searching to do on what happened on the ice today. That was a quit performance.

Sorry, it was.

There will be No Karl Malden made for TV movie about this one.
