D Tom Gilbert
A veteran two way defenseman, Gilbert is also an excellent rental player candidate as his contract is up at the end of the season.
C Scott Gomez
Gomez may not be the player he was as a Devil or a Ranger, but that doesn't mean he won't eat up minutes. Like Gilbert, a sub million dollar salary who is a FA at the end of the season.
G Scott Clemmensen
In a situation where our goalie of the future (Jacob Markstrom) preps in San Antonio and I'd like to see Markstrom to learn from Tim Thomas, Clemmensen is expendable.

What We Want:
The Panthers currently sit in a precarious position in both offensive and defensive categories and consequently could use help wherever we can get it. We have a young core that could use some veteran leadership and given our cap situation we are also willing to take on some cap as well.
