Mike Brophy article In this weeks Hockey news

This is just a bit of it ...But I am sure you guys can figure out the direction he went with it.

"From the Hall of Fame to the Hall of Shame.

Thatís the path Glen Satherís career has taken since he left the prairies of Western Canada for the bright lights of Broadway. There are those who would suggest he was already headed in that sad direction during his final years with the Oilers.

Whatís even more incredible than the fact the Rangers outspend most teams by millions and canít make the playoffs is that Sather is allowed to continue at the helm of the misguided ship."

Maybe now that the bible of the game ( as i have heard the hockey news referred to as) Is also saying what a joke this team is Dolan will listen ?

Brophy goes on to say how amazing it is that Minnesota, who eneterd the league the sam time slats came to New York, has already gone to the western confrence finals (with less then 1/2 the budget of the Rang$) While the Rang$ have yet to make the playoffs.

Other quotes :

" For years we had to listen to Sather moan and whine about how difficult it was to run a small-market team in Edmonton and how unfair it was he operated on unequal footing compared to the big money teams. He would criticize those with deeper pockets who spent recklessly. But we all know what happened when he was handed a blank check. Under Sather the Rangers are not a team , they are a pricy puzzle with too many missing pieces."

And

"Whats even more incredible than the fact the Rangers outspend most teams by millions and cant make the playoffs is that Sather is allowed to continue at the helm of this misguided ship. He has been an absolute bust on Bradway and yet there he is, still making deals , still coaching. Spend,spend,spend,...Thats all Sather has done since replacing Neil Smith as GM in 2000-01. It would be funny if it wasnt so pathetic"

So it seems everyone but Dolan knows exactly what is happening.
