i don't think there's any doubt he'll go in. first, the HHOF is notorious for letting very good players in (joey mullen, denis savard, clarke gilles?!), second they do take internation play into consideration. i think mike goes in for being the greatest american goalie ever.

as a point of debate, if i think which contemporary is most like richter, i think i have to say grant fuhr. their stats, style, and temperment were both very similar, only fuhr played behind one of the best teams of all time during his prime.
