This was evident last night when the Garden ranted 'Sign Him' in regards to Graves. Graves is one of my all-time favorite Rangers. But, unfortunately, he has slipped in the last several seasons and is a bit past his prime. Signing him is no different than many other mercenary signings. But if signed, the Garden faithful will come out in droves for his first game. They will applaud the move. They will welcome him with open arms. But it's not the direction the team should go.
are you friggin serious??? you think that graves got that ovation because fans think that bring in an older player will help the team?? it has abso-fecking-lutely NOTHING to do with that...that could not possible be further from the truth

that was about respecting the classiest ranger ever and the best human being to ever lace up skates...and it is about the fact that graves deserves a better exit than being forced into retirement...this team is going no where anyway this year, so what would it hurt if graves finished his career and retired a ranger like it SHOULD be...and i GUARANTEE that graves would be a million times better than hlavac
