Really though if you are going to be lacking in your first game, that probably the best place for it to be. Just considering how much quicker and bigger the NHL is compared to what he has been playing in I'm willing to give him a pass on that for right now.

The fact that the speed of the game didn't seem to blow his mind is the best thing I saw imo. I know Smith looked like a deer in headlights for a while when he started.
