No one's blaming Jagr for the loss. But he's the Captain, our go-to guy. He needed to be out there, as a lot of the rags are saying today. He needed to take a stand. Not sit on the bench crying in his friggin beer. Those are the moments that can define the outcome of a season. Look at Messier's P.O. prediction and then scoring a hat trick, or Schilling (if memory serves me) pitching the Sox to a championship with a torn and bloodied ankle. A great leader leads, he doesn't sit on the bench. Putting the 'C' on Jagr's chest is like putting a silk hat on a pig. He's a shallow player.
