It is.

Its the impact of less competition on a market. Outside MSG, vendors have to compete with prices of competitors. In MSG they can pick the price which maximizes the profit for them, even if it isn't the pareto-optimal solution for both vendor and consumer that you'd see if there was competition.

If, say, they let you carry your own beer in, the price would drop.
