The Bell Center is the most occupied arena in North America. If Uncle Georges is intelligent (and I think he is), tiz possible that most of the expenses related to the Phone Booth (AKA human resources expenses) are tied to the hockey club's expenditures. I don't believe the club by itself is in the red. At all.
Sure the arena pays tons of taxes. But it makes tons of cash also. A lot of their business is in pure cash, don't forget (food, beverages, souvenirs, etc.). You can play with the numbers like crazy. Plus, the revenues stemming from advertising and hockey broadcasts are in the top tier 3 in the league. Even with a high payroll, the club operations are not in the red. If you take in account the human resources, the cost of the loan (immobilisations) for the building, AND the taxes, then yes, probably. Not the club.
