Solutions? I'd like to know what players could be available that Gainey could have interest for.
Here what I think:

First, Ryan Smyth. A prefect fit for the habs. He's only 27 and would make a great line with Koivu and Ryder.

Price? Players like Hossa and Hainsey comes to mind as Edmonton won't make the playoffs and would be looking for youngs players.

Secondly, Craig Conroy. A defensive center with good size and he's a right handed shooter.

Price? I don't know, since he's an UFA. Plus Calgary may be in the playoffs so dealing him may be a mistake, still he could help us greatly. Either way, his value isn't that high so maybe a Sundstrom type of player or prospects could make it.

So what's that like?

Smyth-Koivu-Ryder
Dagenais-Ribeiro-Zednik
Bulis-Conroy-Ward
Begin-Juneau-Langdon

Souray-Quintal
Markov-Rivet
Bouillon-Brisebois
Komisarek

That could be very interesting coming playoffs time.
Thoughts?
You know? I'm getting serious Déja-Vu from this thread...
