Brodeur, who has some of the smallest pads in the league, used the opportunity to scoff at the notion that goaltending is better because equipment is bigger.

"I have a full-time coach," he said. "Every game, I have tapes to study, I know everything I need to know about the shooters. I'm very well coached. Twenty years ago, guys just went out there and played the game. This isn't about big equipment. It's great goaltending."

A full time goalie coach? What a wild concept...
