Couturier has been our best forward all series long, but what is surprising is how much he is using his size. Just watch how he protects the puck with his body and positions himself to brace contact without losing control of the puck.
But the thing that gets me is that when he first entered the league as a young lad, he never wanted to get into any after-the-whistle altercations. Understanding. He was a 19 year old kid not yet built into his frame. Hockey code means nobody went after him, and he never went after anyone. However, all series long and especially at the end of the 1st period of this game, he never shied away and was pretty aggressive against Staal and Hagelin.
I like this kid. He's going to be a Bergeron or Towes type of center. He has the hockey sense.
