I generally agree with CW, but I would add that DW is too conservative for my tastes.

Who really knows what trades are available to him so I will not criticize his lack of movement. But I will point out that his drafting record is mediocre. Except for the obvious choices, his 2nd and 3rd rounders have been safe choices with little chance of panning out. He traded a #2 for majesky. I didn't like it then and I still don't like it now. There were a bunch of top prospects available that I think could have better served the organization longer term.

The organization needs a bit of a jump start charge here and DW could provide one with a good deal. But not with the core assets! Or else, pretty soon we'll see DW move vets and UFAs at the deadline again.

CW is right however: DW does not have the resources to trade like Clarke.
