Hitchcock specifically said this year. It's why Hackett was brought in, to push him.

The benefit of that particular pairing cuts both ways. Either should be relatively happy taking a back seat to the other, not merely that Burke would be fine backing up Esche, but also vice versa. Again, time will tell over the next month or two who gets the nod.
Agreed. If Burke does become the starter, Esche won't have a problem (well, if he does, not a big enough problem to make an issue out of it) and the good number of ex-Coyotes on the Flyers all like Burke too, so there shouldn't be any dissention.
