Don't really know who this guy is or who this offer would be coming from but sounds interesting I guess?

According to Malmo, Sweden based newspaper Kvallsposten, Slovenian Olympic hockey player Jan Urbas will be offered a try-out contract by the Washington Capitals.

The 25-year-old Urbas played in all five of Slovenia’s Olympic contests, tallying 1 goal, 2 assists and plus/minus -2.

Urbas spent his 2013-2014 campaign playing in Germany’s Deutsche Eishockey Liga for EHC Red Bull Munchen. In 38 games, Urbas scored 7 goals, added 10 assists and served 28 penalty minutes.

At the conclusion of training camp, the try-out contract allows Washington to offer Urbas a spot in either D.C. or with their American Hockey League affiliate in Hershey, Pennsylvania. It also allows Urbas the flexibility to choose between an AHL contract or returning to Europe, where he’s played the entirety of his career since turning pro in 2005.
