I think the Pens made a mistake with M-A-F. To me, get Staal, use draft picks to get d-men/forwards, and then trade for a goalie once you know which ones will pan out.

Yeah, because it's obvious Fleury will never pan out....I guess the Thrashers should not have taken Lethonen either....
The Devils drafted Martin Broduer and he's now the best goaltender in the NHL....Luongo was drafted early and he is the best young tender in the league....both of these examples were well worth the picks used to get them.....goalies are not the only players who don't pan out.....there are many fowards and dmen that dont come near their potential....I honestly don't think there is much logic behind criticizing the selection of Fleury while he's still a teenager....I think many aboard here will agree he has an insane amount of potential.....a franchise goalie is a rare commodity, and I feel the Penguins made the correct choice in selecting Fleury (thought Staal, Horton, etc are all suberb players as well)....
