Smyth is also having an off year, and has proven his status around the league as a coveted LW, who leads by example, and is a gritty guy that sacrifices his body for the team.
Your going to compare a 20 year old player that hasn't proved much in the NHL at this point to Smyth in trade value? Proven players hold more value than unproven players, so why keep comparing the two?
For the first time I'll offer my proposal although I don't see a trade of this magnitude happening between the two teams.
