Alt had 26pts this season in 76 games but that was with lots of pp time, something he won't get at the next level (if the Phantoms weren't so horrible he wouldn't have gotten it in the AHL either honestly, keep in mind he didn't get any pp time in college either). If he makes it to the NHL, I doubt he's more then a 10-15 point d-man. Certainly not zero but not very good either.
If Schenn can play next season the way he did during the playoffs he's going to be looking really good. Maybe Alt won't produce much offensively but I'd take him over Grossmann for sure, at least he can skate and move the puck, and I'm sure he'd put up more points than Grossmann too.
