Doubt it would have made a difference. If anything Hitch demanded more effort from Nash, and that's the part of his game he lacks the most today. Last year with Torts still in NY he had, at least, a very good regular season before failing to elevate his effort for the playoffs. This year he had a very mediocre regular season, which would have been abysmal if not for an 11 game hot streak right before the Olympics, and his effort level has been lower than ever. I doubt that Hitch created that flaw.
