This is EXACTLY WHY this team sucks, because it's all for one, and not one for all.
Dude, take a look at your roster in the last two seasons. Rangers, on paper, had no business making the playoffs last season nor being in the hunt this late this season with a worse team.
You're a one-line team offensively, and while your guys do work hard and are good defensively, they're just not gonna give your #1 line the goal support a good team needs.
Rangers lose two goal leads cos teams adjust and exploit your weakness.
Like someone else said, after being the laughing stock the ten years prior to last season, Renney, Jagr and Co. have earned respect league-wide for their work in NY so far.
And insteaf of bashing Jagr without any arguments, saying he's quitting on the team... I mean,... How the hell do you say that about a guy how's played the entire season with half a shoulder??

Lindy has the luxury of having had Regier, not Sather get the personnel for him. Good draft picks, good trades, no big UFA contracts, depth all over... If Sabres lose top-3 forwards, 3 step up and the verstility of a Hecht, Drury or Kotalik allows them to move up to the top line. Stafford, MacArthur etc. plug the holes on secondary scoring lines and energy line, without THAT much of a drop off.
NY loses Shanahan, Jagr and Straka play injured... there's just nobody to pick up the scoring.
