Guenin was a kind of favorite of mine as a prospect. I understand why they didn't sign him. There was a big glut of players coming along at the same time and the fact that we moved out Giroux, Wiseman and a number of others had to do with that. Needs to be kept in mind about Guenin--he's stepping in at the end of the season for a team that's short on players and with one of the worst records in the league. I thought he played well but what we're looking at is probably a Jason Strudwick kind of player. Nate did throw some nice hits but his skating and mobility is probably going to have to improve a little more for him to make it. The two assists he got were gifts really--Eager did all the work on the one and the other deflecting off of Hollweg--it's not like Nate made a real offensive play on either. Still something tells me we're going to see more of this guy.
