Had exactly the same experience after a 14 year lay off. I think it had to do with the torque of shooting and the fact that the muscles in my hands hadn't shot a puck in all that time. Caused a lot of pain the first few weeks, then less and then none. Would definitely get it checked out if it lasted more than a couple of weeks though.
