Think about it...
Just another example of thinking that keeps teams in a cycle of mediocrity.

Trading away assets for a meaningless run at the playoffs will hurt us down the road and won't allow us to take the next step as a team. Stockpiling youth and draft picks is an essential part of the rebuilding process.

How about you think ahead a few years when we're a contending team and truly need to aquire a rent-player to take a run and the Cup and....the cupboards empty because we traded away our youth for aging veterans that are no longer with the team.
