Well, I have a little different perspective than the writer. Schultz did like to pick his spot and in this case he picked on Rolfe -- not a fighter by any means. He pummled Rolfe and gave the Flyers (who were hanging on for dear life) a huge boost. The Flyers dominated the second period and even though the Rangers rallied, the Flyers ended up winning. To the poster who noted that the Rangers only had skill players on the ice, Hadfield had an injury and was basically unable to shoot -- after the playoffs Emile Francis singled him out as the player who should have jumped in because he was basically useless as a skill player. Right after the playoffs Francis shipped Hadfield to Pittsburgh for a bucket of pucks. Those of my generation still look at that moment as the defining moment of the Flyers and the ultimate turning point of the series.
