Gonchar is going to cost you a pretty penny.

He leads NHL defensemen in scoring, and has for what, three years? He's better than Ozo in his own end, rarely pinches at the wrong time, has veteran savvy and is 29. A lot of his former teammates agree that on any team other than the Capitals, he'd be a perennial Norris candidate.

If your team needs Hale, keep him, we'll take Parise.

Paul Martin, and no amount of AHL projects are going to get you Sergei Gonchar.

In the past, McPhee has asked for a blue-chip prospect, top-six young player, and high draft pick for Gonchar, and I doubt he's lowered that demand three weeks before the deadline with several teams heavily interested in his players.

Just tonight on Comcast he reiterrated that any deals made are "hockey deals".

There is no salary issue, so what do you think will happen?
