I don't know, I kind of think Amonte has worked well with Gagne and now Radivojevic. He's certainly past his prime, but I think he's a nice compliment. He's certainly not worth the multi-million dollars he makes, but such is the way with veteran players.

I was also thinking about John LeClair last night, particularly how 20 goals in this day and age isn't too bad at all. In fact, it's rather symptomatic of the defensive nature of the league. Kovalchuk leads the NHL with 32 goals, and nobody is going to come close to 50. In just a decade, scoring almost half the number of goals as before has become a feat to be proud of.
