In the paper today, Trotz\Arnott lament the fact that Tootoo's not able to play his game because of "reputation calls," and that he's going to the box every time he touches another player.

Is that justified? Who knows, but it is what it is...

SO WHY IS HE STILL GETTING SO MUCH ICETIME?

If he can't use his hitting to draw another team off their game, he has zero worth to the team. None. He has a slapshot that, while hard, takes 6 seconds to wind up...which he can almost never get off in time. He has no hockey sense...when passes come to him, he is almost always surprised. He can't stickhandle. For his strength, he's weak along the boards...likely due to his size. He can't pass. He's terrible defensively.

At this point, he's a liability...so recognize it and ADJUST.

It's depressing to know that because of his following\place with the fans, that realistically he's not going anywhere. I fully recognize his value...when he's allowed to play his game, but he's gotten to the point where he's a marked man by officials. If he breathes wrong, he'll get called for it...so his game is marginalized and he becomes a player with a skillset not near enough to make him an NHL player.
