I think that's the best advice.

Ask yourself the question: "What would Alexis Emelin do ?"
Personally, I'd disagree. What if matlamenace calls them up and gives them all hell before they can get a word out when they might be more than willing to help him out. Going out of your way to **** someone off when you want them to do something for you is a bad strategy. Be civil at first and get your point across and see what they say. If they help you out, you get what you want and solve the problem calmly and without fuss. If they don't help, then give them a hard time over it. Personally, when one of the customers of the company I work for calls up and ******* at us to do something for them, even when it's not our mistake, it annoys the hell out of us. If they have a problem, they should deal with it like an adult first, makes the relationship between company and customer much smoother and easier to work with. Anyone who moans their head off at us for no reason gets their job done dead last for the day. Or week.
