Well Koivu got blasted for not speaking right away, so why not Bob? Tell me why shouldn't the GM of a team be questioned like you did the Captain. I don't care whether he thinks Koivu needs to learn a lesson because that is not how it is coming across. He could do that in private but still maintain a semblance of solidarity in the public perspective.

Why would any UFA want to play there, it would just show yet another GM giving into the media in Montreal, letting language and politics get involved. Why would Koivu ever want to come back? Why would any English speaking person ever want to be Captain

And this is not just an ordinary scrum, this is YOUR TEAMS CAPTAIN getting lynched in the media and by some morons at the Bell Centre.

You can't blame people for wondering what Gainey is doing or thinking, and questioning him for not giving any response.
