Orr made everyone around him look slow and uncordinated he was just simply that good

Cournoyer had breathtaking speed. Watch the goal he got in Game 2 of the Summit Series, he just made everyone look ponderous

No one has mentioned Gilbert Perreault yet. He was a fast skater but even more so a beautiful smooth skater. It wasa joy to watch him

Lafleur made everythng look easy

Coffey might very well be the greatest skater ever. He was so smooth and it looked like hewasnt going fast at times until you looked at everyone around him, top-nothc speed

Fedorov if you want to compare him I'd put him with Perreault but just a bit faster

As of today, its hard to say anone is a better skater han Niedermayer. He's smooth and fast

Gartner and Bure both had blinding speed, but had more of a choppy motion when it came to skating. That being siad no one could catch them on a breakaway. Kariya too, was/is choppy. In his prime though he had the jets more so
