For the most part, I thought they only looked ok during the game. I don't think they really pushed it offensively. There were too many outside shots, too few people were going to the net, too much play on the perimeter. That's one of my biggest beefs with Hossa. Last year he used to drive to the net and either get a good scoring chance, or draw a penalty. This year, he just gets angled off into the corner. I realize he's facing extra attention but he needs to fight through it. I thought the extra muscle he put on during the off-season was supposed to help him through this, so far, it hasn't worked.

One of the real shockers is that Havlat is almost tied with Alfie and Hossa for the goal-scoring lead. About time he started to shoot more, though his defensive game still needs work. Why do I have the feeling we'll be saying that for a few more years to come.
